Summary
When Professor Arthur Lester’s monotonous life is interrupted by PI John Doe seeking help on a case, he is initially reluctant to aid the mysterious stranger. However, as they investigate, this dead child ‘Faroe’ becomes eerily familiar and supernatural phenomena begin to affect both men. Perhaps there’s more to this case (and John) than meets the eye.

He sees the moment Arthur begins to squeeze, blocking the air from her lungs. A horrible, strangled gasp tears itself from her throat; her face reddens and bulges; and Arthur is wringing her out like a washcloth, merciless and rough.
John yells his name again, louder, but gets no reaction. So he attacks—scratching and shoving at Arthur's locked fingers, skin gathering under his fingernails, blood welling up in bubbling rivulets.
Arthur doesn't stop.

There was something different about this statue; still the same cold, hard marble under his touch, still the placidity of stone that he could never attribute to John, who was loud and thunderous even when trying to be kind, but something else too. A sparking potential, like a thousand tiny firecrackers burning his fingertips.

In this universe, Arthur is a sculptor, not a musician, and after losing John in the Season 2 finale he goes to great lengths to get him back - never mind the costs.
