His men seemed to be on edge, their fingers twitching and ready to grip the guns they hid in their holsters, but Izuku didn’t quite feel the same panic they had.
That was, until he glanced to the side, and set his gaze upon the reason for such behaviour - but his panic was of the different sort.
The boy didn’t quite fit in with the rest of the people in the place, perhaps that was why he’d caused such an atmosphere. Where everyone else wore leather jackets and scars upon their knuckles, he adorned a rather large orange hoodie and shaking hands. Where everyone’s gaze was sharp and lustful, his was fearful and bleary with unshed tears.
An anomaly in the world Izuku had grown up in, completely separate from the harshness that he had somehow stumbled into.

In which, Katsuki and Izuku struggle to find places in each other's lives - one with insecurities tied to his age regression, and the other with guns and a trail of death and blood behind him.

Even as he lay on the soft covers of his bed, breath catching in his throat and mouth still filled with the sludge from his dream, he still found the strength to raise his hand, trail it over his body until it rested against the warm skin of his chest; the mark wasn’t noticeable this way, the letters smooth and fitted right over the edge of his palm, the name of his soulmate curving onto the muscle and trailing onto his thumb.
For him, it was an almost pathetically romantic position for the name to be.
His palm.
The very source of his strength and success.
And integrated into it was the source of his comfort - Todoroki Touya.

When exactly the mutation began, Izuku did not know. All he knew were the tales of Alpha and Omega’s who could hardly breathe during their cycles, writhing in agony upon sweat-clad sheets as they begged and pleaded for someone, anyone, to put them out of their misery - whether it be through death or orgasms, they did not care.
Kacchan did not keep his own condition a secret, he never attempted to convince anyone that he was not one of the Alpha’s forced to go through this shit every few months when his rut hit, yet no one in his class knew about it - no one except for Izuku.

Summary
How could he ever think it wasn’t his fault? How could he convince himself of such a thing when he could’ve easily taken Katsuki with him and kept him safe? Kacchan didn’t need his protection, he was a far stronger hero than he ever would be, but at least he could’ve helped. He could’ve been there if anything went wrong. He could’ve done what he wanted to do in the first place and Kacchan wouldn’t have done what he did.
He could’ve had him by his side, where he belonged.
And now he didn’t know if that would ever be possible again.
Because Izuku had been gone for a year and a half, the same amount of time Kacchan had been missing, and no one had heard from him since.
Or:
It's been over a year since Izuku had left UA, and over a year since Katsuki ran after him. Yet only one of them returns to the school, the other does not.
It does not matter what it takes - if he has to kill and torture and plead with the League themselves, Izuku would find him amongst the rubble of the ruined city.
Only, when he does find him, will it still be his Kacchan by his side?

Summary
Bakugo really kind of hated everyone, and his classmates were no exception - especially that damn half-n-half bastard. Maybe that's why Aizawa paired them together, and that little act had started what Katsuki called a Horrific Catastrophe of Utter Doom. A.K.A., falling in love.
Or basically,
Bakugo finds himself at Todoroki's house to work on an English project over winter break, and proceeds to meet his more than unusual brother Dabi. Bakugo seems to find himself drawn to the tattoo-covered man, who may be the one person that won't put up with Bakugo's shit. But there's a little more to him beneath the surface, and sometimes saviors come dressed in black, and covered in blood.
This is a happy story. Eventually.
