Summary
"The course of true love never did run smooth." But that doesn't mean it wasn't worth the journey. Of course things between Jack and Phryne could never just happen, easily-- there are too many demons in each of their pasts, too many issues to reconcile for a future. But my money is on them taking it the distance, and luckily, in this universe at least, I get to write it the way I see them.

Meant as a follow-up to "Forgetting Phryne" in which Jack, driven by jealousy, has sought comfort in the arms of Concetta Fabrizzi. After 3 x03, Murder and Mozzarella (sometime before he brings over a bottle of wine and they're going to have to do with each other), Phryne is confronted by a very unpleasant visit from the green-eyed monster and struggles with a few realizations about the true nature of her feelings towards one handsome Detective Inspector she knows.

Summary
A few weeks after everything goes down in Unnatural Habits (2 x12), Jack goes to visit Phryne and try to deal with his feelings, but she is visiting with the entertaining Mr. Lin when he arrives... leading him into the arms (finally) of one Italian Widow of his acquaintance. Obviously its total fluff and probably never happened, but it was fun to put on paper and try to explore Jack without Phryne for a minute. May turn this into a multi-chapter piece. PLEASE leave comments, this is my first time writing like this and I'd love feedback.

Noticing her flushed cheeks and uneven breaths, Sara leans in slightly, pausing when Felicity’s surprised eyes flick up to hers. She does not move, she daren’t even breathe, but then Felicity’s leaning in too, and that’s all the encouragement she needs.
“Have you ever kissed another woman before, Felicity?” Sara whispers, her lips a hairsbreadth away from Felicity’s.
“No,” Felicity breathes.
Sara rubs her nose against hers, mouth hovering just in front of Felicity’s. Gentle fingers tangle in her hair and it makes Sara want to keen like a kitten.
