Summary
Steve’s eyes glide to Eddie’s neck, lingers on the skin there.
It’s unblemished. Not even a mole. Definitely no ligature marks.
Steve’s hand instinctively moves to his own neck.
He can’t feel them but he knows they’re there.
The scars.
They’ve faded to a faint pink over the months. Faint enough he can hardly see them himself, but that’s not the case with Eddie because…
It’s not really Eddie.

Summary
Eddie squints into the bright sunlight flooding the kitchen. He’s eating a bowl of lucky charms that taste like chemicals and fake sugar and he’s not even sure he’s going to make it to the end of the first mouthful. The texture is grainy and artificially chewy and Eddie is sure he used to like these.
Steve, the guy in Eddie’s house, sits himself opposite with neat little piles of scrambled eggs and cut fruit on his plate. He looks at Eddie, gets up again, pulls the blind just far enough that Eddie’s eyes are shaded, and then comes back to his breakfast.
“Can I get you anything?”
“You can get the fuck out of my house,” Eddie replies. But there’s no bite. No meaning. No energy. No anything behind the words. He’s so fucking tired and so done with it all.
Steve carries on like Eddie hasn’t spoken, and eats his breakfast.

“How far’ve you gone? What've you done before?”
Eddie didn’t think it was possible for his cheeks to get any warmer, but lo and behold, they do.
“Uh.” He swallows, fighting the urge to curl into a pillbug. “Nothing.”

“Hey, it’s fine.” Steve’s hand twitches like he wants to reach out assuringly, but can’t because Eddie’s boner is right there. “That… kinda happens when I do this with the guys on the team too. Just part of getting a massage.”
“The whole team, huh?” Eddie feels delirious as he blurts out, “Slut.”
Before he can clap a hand over his stupid mouth, Steve laughs and shoots back, “Virgin.”
Or, Eddie gets worked up when Steve rubs his sore muscles, but Steve doesn’t mind.

Steve stared at her. A moment later, a bright grin spread across his face. "Did you?"
(they're hiding out the night after everything happens. robin deals with feelings she knows she has. steve deals with feelings he doesn't understand)
