"Uh oh… the snow isn’t stopping…”This story follows Charlie Spring on a night that doesn’t go at all as planned. While babysitting his eight-year-old brother, Oliver, Charlie is expecting cartoons and calm—until the boy he's been tutoring (who is also his very inconvenient crush), Nick Nelson, shows up needing last-minute help for a test.
What starts as a quick study session turns into an unexpected sleepover when the light snowfall outside becomes a full blizzard. With their parents stuck in town and the roads closed, Oliver is ecstatic, Charlie is flustered, and Nick seems strangely unbothered about being snowed in.
As the night unfolds—blanket forts, hot chocolate, shared jokes, and quiet, lingering moments—Charlie realizes the tension humming between them isn’t just in his head. The snow keeps falling, things keep spiraling, and the line between friendship and something more grows thinner in the warm glow of a winter storm.

It started, as most things did, by accident.
Instead of properly packing up to leave Paris, Nick was too busy snogging Charlie any spare second they were alone. And also, if he was being honest, not alone. Packing ended up being Tao and Isaac laughing, while the two of them scurried around throwing clothing in holdalls hoping they didn’t leave anything behind. It wasn't until Nick was home a few days later, when he finally started unpacking, that he noticed the extra shirt.
He knew it was Charlie’s right away, he had a weird thing about seeing Charlie in anything other than long sleeves; each and every brief opportunity was memorised. It was the shirt he’d slept in, which made it even better. Since he was very alone in his room, he held the striped shirt to his face and inhaled Charlie’s lovely scent. It might be a little weird, but he was pretty sure he’d seen Charlie smell his jumpers anytime he’d steal them.
Turnabout was fair play.
