“No. I fucked off to uni to escape my over bearing mother and drink. Didn't you come to play rugby?”
“Come off it, Char. You introduced yourself to me as a ‘gay nerd’ the day we met,” Nick said, his shoulder nudged into Charlie, in an attempt to veer Princess Peach off course, but Charlie was used to his tactics and he sent a shell flying at Toad. Nick let out a groan when his kart went spinning off the track. “Rude.”

A different start to their relationship and then hiding in the closet together with no plan to come out anytime soon. Themes from the show and the comics but also an AU so plenty of stuff is different.
They meet in September instead of January and the whole school thinks that Charlie has a girlfriend, including Nick. Tao knows how to keep secrets and Charlie eats like a normal person.
You'll enjoy this if you like Nick and Charlie being adorable with some mild angst to keep things interesting.
