Summary
Her hands are rough as they quickly unbutton Adora's shirt, fingers nimble as she finds the problem quickly—a bullet hole in Adora's side. Adora hisses, biting her lip to avoid letting out a curse. She can see Catra's lips twitch into a smile as she pulls her shirt open.
It reminds her of other times, different times when Catra wasn't rough at all—when she slowly whispered kisses onto Adora's skin as she languidly stripped her. It's been a long time since Adora felt a touch like that.
Catra pokes her gloved hand into Adora's wound. "Fuck! Can you at least try not to make me bleed anymore?" She didn't want to say as much but she's feeling woozy from the blood loss.
"No. I need to get the bullet out or you'll be worse off." She grunts, digging into Adora's rib. Catra stops to shoot her a glare. "If you were smart, you wouldn't get shot."
"I tried that." She spits out. It’s not like she likes it when she gets shot. "This is plan B."
"It's a shit backup plan."
OR
Adora gets shot and she visits Catra to get patched up.

Summary
Catra groans and turns around–finally– before opening her eyes. “This better be fucking good because—” her eyes fly to Adora’s neck. “Did you get mauled by a bear or something?”
“Yeah. A bear named Catra, apparently.” She takes a deep breath. “The hickeys aren’t important.” Adora can’t even begin to think about them. She can’t wrap her brain around any of it, least of all that. “Did we get married?” She holds up her hand and wiggles her fingers.
Catra stares at Adora, her eyes rapidly flickering between her hand and her face. “No way. We aren’t that stupid.” She shakes her head but then she looks down at her hand. At her own matching ring. Fuck. She looks up at Adora. “We aren’t that stupid, right?” Her voice is teetering on desperation, hoping for answers that Adora is simply unequipped to deliver.

Catra and Adora are best friends since high school who accidentally marry each other. Accidentally Married AU.

“I miss you too. So, so, much.” The words are wholly inadequate for what Adora’s gone through but she doesn’t want to make Catra feel any worse than she already does.
Catra lets out a watery laugh. “Whose bright idea was this, anyway?”
Adora’s smile wobbles but she laughs with her. “Yours, genius.”
Adora will never forget the day Catra asked her if they could take a break. It had been a few days after she accepted her seat in FZ University for her 18-month Master’s program.
It was a warbled request in between a long rant about how couples grow to resent each other in long distance relationships. How they both owed it to each other to grow as people and make sure they weren’t one of those high school sweethearts that grew to hate each other right after they got married.
She couldn’t believe it then, sitting on Catra’s bed as her soon-to-be ex-girlfriend looked at her nervously. Adora had been looking at train schedules to figure out how often she could visit, but Catra was on a whole other page. One that didn’t have her written into it.
