Summary
“I’m Jewish,” Peter complains, plaintively. “And you brought me to Macy’s. Macy’s, Storm. The week before Christmas.”
“It’s festive,” Johnny declares. He picks up a blouse and scrutinizes it before hanging it back on the rack with a dismissive head shake. “All the hustle and bustle.”

Summary
When Spider-Man’s best friend Johnny Storm asks him for help in tactfully declining a marriage proposal from the King of Atlantis, Namor the Sub-Mariner, the only solution is for him to volunteer Daily Bugle photographer Peter Parker to pretend to be dating Johnny at the Engagement Banquet in Atlantis. Sure, it’s technically lying to his best friend about who Peter Parker is, but the important thing is that Johnny won’t have to marry Namor, and if Peter gets some photographs of Atlantis to sell, what’s the harm? Peter thought the most difficult thing about this scenario was going to be making sure Johnny didn’t figure out Peter is actually Spider-Man. Having to pretend he wasn’t actually falling in love with his best friend never crossed his mind.
Featuring fake relationships, forced (almost) marriages, identity porn, traditional Atlantean clothing, and amorous cephalopods.

Summary
“You can get back to whatever it is you were doing,” Johnny says, magnanimously. To his surprise, Harry doesn’t move.
Instead, he leans against Peter’s desk, an obscene monstrosity of wood and glass and metal. “I could,” he drawls. “But then you’d be alone, and well, what kind of a friend would I be if I didn’t make sure that my best buddy Pete’s friend is being entertained.”
Johnny crosses his arms over his chest. “It bothers you,” he observes. “That Peter’s my friend.”
Harry shakes his head and rubs the back of his neck, as if distracted. He avoids Johnny’s gaze when he replies. “I just find it interesting that a celebrity like the Human Torch is palling around with the head of a multi-million dollar tech corporation.”
“Peter interned for my brother-in-law,” Johnny reminds him. “Honestly, you should be asking Peter why the head of a multi-million dollar tech corporation is hanging out with a C-list celebrity.”
“Other than the obvious?”
Johnny huffs a bitter laugh. “Believe me, being Peter Parker’s boytoy would be so much simpler than our actual relationship.”

Summary
He'd always had a need to please others, but this was different. Deeper. The satisfaction that came from pleasing Cougar filled some kind of psychological need. A thought filtered through his brain, half-remembered from AP Psych in what seemed a lifetime ago, about a pyramid of needs that culminated in self-actualization.
Cougar was Jensen's pyramid. Making Cougar laugh—that was one block. Taking care of him, when the other man allowed it, was another. And this...right now. Being perfect. Being silent. Being Cougar's in whatever shape the man made him. That was right at the top.

Summary
“Okay then, gimme a taste.”
“That’s the last of it until tomorrow.” Steve replies, sucking the spoon clean and dropping it noisily into the sink, “I can’t get you a sample.”
“I didn’t ask for a sample, Steve. Gimme a taste.”
Or: Eddie goes back to Starcourt Mall. Because how could be not?

Summary
"Okay," Eddie says at last, voice betraying his cool demeanor. "I'll go first." He clears his throat, folds his hands politely in his lap. "I have never been more confused in my life than when I'm with you. And I've taken trig three times and I'm still not a hundred percent on what a hypotenuse is, so, like, it's not difficult to confuse me or anything. But you really take the cake, man."
Steve chews on his lip. "Sorry? I'm... confused too."

Summary
“Steve,” Wayne echoes. “This is my home. Eddie’s my boy.” And then he ruffles his hair with one large hand, coarse from years of working with them, in an action that reminds Steve of Hopper.
“I’m gonna go down there and get my boy back. You’re gonna be my tour guide.” He holds his hand out for the final gun Steve has stashed, which he gives over reluctantly. He finds Wayne remarkably difficult to argue with—wonders if Eddie found the same. “Tour guides don’t need guns. You point at somethin’, I shoot it. Got it, Steve?”

Summary
Steve jerks awake, sitting up so quickly that Robin almost topples over and staring wildly around the room. When his gaze lands on Eddie, he blanches visibly.
“Oh, shit,” he mutters. “Come on, no. Come on. Not again.”
“Harrington?” Eddie asks slowly. He does not love the way that Steve is staring at him right now. He really doesn’t. Steve looks like he’s staring at a ghost, a bloodied monster, like Eddie is something that should not exist in the light of day. “You good, dude?”
