Summary
Stan recognizes that his addiction is bad for him. He recognizes the pain that it causes him, the heartbreak it sheds. He knows that every time Kenny calls him, or shoots him a text, his veins run ice cold, and every bone in his body tells him to not reply, to go elsewhere, to not indulge.
But, like drugs, like alcohol, like nicotine, it calls to him. A much-needed release in a stressful world. A dopamine hit to secure himself and stabilize his body, just enough to get through the week. He thinks about the way his body feels when Kenny’s lips are on his neck, sucking bruises into his flush skin.
