   "Ryland Grace looked tired, the kind that Simon knew all too well; the kind that spoke of a deep seated desperation to keep moving forward whatever the cost. An exhaustion that hung around for so long that it became natural, eventual. Normal. A second skin one never took off because it was comfortable, because it fit better than anything else, and eventually you began to wonder what life was ever like without it. Had there ever been a life without it?
