    Summary

Alexandria was supposed to be safe. High walls, quiet streets, and people pretending the world hadn't completely fallen apart. She had learned how to survive there long ago, spending her days patrolling with her bow and keeping enough distance to never get too attached to anyone.

Until the gates opened. Rick Grimes' group arrived covered in dirt, blood, and distrust, but among all of them, there was one person she couldn't stop looking at: a quiet man with tired eyes and a crossbow hanging from his shoulder.

Daryl Dixon looked like he didn't belong in Alexandria. Maybe that was exactly why she was drawn to him.

Between late-night runs, restless silences, survival, and a world that never stops taking, the two of them slowly realize that surviving becomes a lot harder once someone finally manages to get under your skin.

This story has connections to the show, I recommend watching it. Season 5 forward.

    Summary

"When the sun started dying, I hadn’t had the chance to live. At least, not the way anyone would consider a good life. At the ripe old age of six-months-old an expiration date I couldn’t see had been placed delicately upon my head. I suppose that might be the reason why humanities saving Grace had always been my idol. He chose to leave to save me, and my neighbor and everyone else he left behind. If I had been in his shoes, I don’t think I could have made the same choice."

    Or,

Biologist goes to space only to discover her teacher, and Hero Ryland Grace is alive and well.
—- LORE GAP —- I made Dr. Grace younger when he left so that by the time he got to Erid he was around 35, so he left around 25 (Younge genius, doctor at 21, disowned and then teacher for 3 years), and it took him approx. 6 years after finding rocky to get there —
P.S, As I'm writing this, I will be going back to previous chapters to make revisions as the story progresses, so if there's a plot hole, please let me know or it might have just been an adjustment I've already made. looking for a beta reader.

    Summary

A story about falling in love with Daryl Dixon, but realllllly, really slowly and (hopefully) realistically. This chaptered story spans the entirety of the Walking Dead TV series, and perhaps extends into the time period in which Daryl travels to France, Spain, and beyond. It's sweet and romantic and takes quite a while for the good stuff to get started, just like it would with the real Daryl Dixon. If you want to truly immerse yourself into the TWD world and re-frame the entire thing around what a romantic relationship with everyone's favorite archer might be like, this story is for you.
