Summary
It follows a platoon of German and Italian soldiers transferred to the Eastern Front of World War II, where they find themselves fighting in the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942 as they go from victory to survival mode as their Army suffers the worst defeat it has seen in the war.
“August 1942, a year since the Reich launched its massive invasion against the Soviet Union. German forces were stopped at the gates of Moscow, with Operation Barbarossa being a failure. The Fuhrer and the High Command decreed that Moscow was unworthy of German blood being spilled in its name, and Instead sent its armies to the South to gain access to the Soviet city of Baku, an oil-rich city. Launching Case Blue in June 1942, the German 6th Army began its offensive push onto the city of Stalingrad.”
