Summary
The cylinder spun as Charlie pushed it into it’s place; a single bullet was lodged in one of it’s chambers, the five others remained empty. A one in six chance, all in all. Odds Charlie was happy to play by. A click, quiet otherwise but loud in the silence of the woods at sunset — save for the occasional rustling of leaves or animal scuttling by, sounded as it finished the rotation.
Though the forest wasn’t the closest thing to the run-down apartment that all of them shared, it was the best place to carry out stupidly dangerous activities like these games. Sneeg shifted his weight onto the opposite foot from where he was standing, a few feet away from Charlie.
Or, Sneeg, Charlie, and their mutual feelings on staying alive.

Charlie's eyes flitted over to the analog clock that hung on the wall. Two twenty-eight in the morning, the seconds ticking along slower than he would've liked. He couldn't fall asleep, but then again, he rarely could.
Sighing, he sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. He could lie in bed and pretend to sleep — two decades of acting made it difficult for the others to tell the difference between him actually sleeping and just pretending to — in case someone (not at all Niki or Ranboo, what ever could make anyone think that?) came to check on him, but he really didn't feel like it.
Or, Charlie and Ethan aren't brothers, but they grew up under the same roof.

Summary
Charlie had never really fit in with the rest of the cast very well.
He felt out of place whenever they talked about their days at work, mentioning games and concepts and other things that he didn't understand, that he'd never seen. He felt out of place when they sat around the dinner table and ate in what he assumed was supposed to be comofortable silence (he never ate with them, he couldn't handle it). He felt out of place when they passed by him in the hallway, sitting next to Sneeg's door silently, and gave him a look akin to pity.
Or, a wild animal doesn't thrive when you bring it out of it's natural habitat.

Squiggles only reached Hetch's knees in terms of height.
Maybe it was that, or the fact that he reacted in the same ways one might expect an excitable child to react, or both, that made him so likable; that made Hetch like him so quickly.
Squiggles reminded Hetch of a toddler, almost. Eager to learn, emotional—almost unaware of the world around himself.
Hetch didn't think someone—something?—like that deserved to be stuck in a place like this, like the mall.
Or, Hetch misses his son.
