Summary
The bell on the coffee house door jingled, announcing the arrival of a new customer. A familiar black-haired individual with teal undertones stepped into the cafe. He closed his eyes and paused upon stepping in, letting the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans and the bustling sounds of chatter and coffee machinery drowned out by the calming melody of lofi jazz immerse him into the surroundings. He slowly opened his eyes once again, scanning the room for his designated table among several other students and couples. The edges of his lips curved up ever so slightly, satisfied to find his table unoccupied. Xiao set down his bag on the tabletop before shoving his hands in his pockets and venturing his way to the front counter to order his drink.

Aether works at Haiyang Coffee House as a popular cheerful barista while Xiao is a frequent customer that only orders a very complicated drink only Aether can make to his liking. Perhaps Xiao's favorite drink isn't the only reason why he decides to visit so often.
