Robin froze. Her face lit with equal parts delight and terror, like she’d just realized she was about to be recruited into something insane.
“Okay,” she whispered, reverent. “But you have to tell me what I'm being hired for before I go back on air and accidentally announce it to all of Indiana.”

Nancy Wheeler was supposed to be in Hawkins Post, not in Scoops Ahoy with her new, annoying co-worker, Robin Buckley, trying not to let her get to her and chasing around hypothetical Russians. On top of that, she was debating whether she even wanted to be with Jonathan. Overall, she wasn't having the best time so far this summer.

“You keep running away from me,” Robin said, softer now.
Nancy paused at that. “That’s why you locked me in here? So I couldn’t run?”
“Whoa, okay—don’t say it like that. Makes it sound… predatory.” Robin scratched the back of her neck, her eyes flicking toward the padlock. “You can leave if you want. Just to be clear.”
