Summary
"We are the same."
Jinx leaned her face closer, replacing Caitlyn's air with the smell of fresh rain. While her lungs protested, she couldn’t can’t help but breathe it in. It was intoxicating.
"You are a monster."
Jinx’s grins only widened. She reached forward to swipe a fingernail across Caitlyn's jaw. Blue meets blue as the two women locked eyes. Both burning with intense determination. To intimidate. To win.
"Yes, we are."

Summary
The first to disappear were, unsurprisingly, Aylin and Isobel. Shadowheart had gone off to relieve herself, and returned to find them both absent from where they had been just previously conversing with Halsin and Jaheira.
Suspicious, certainly - but nothing in comparison to the sudden silence of Gale and Astarion's departures. One moment, they'd been arguing off somewhere towards the arse end of camp; the next, they were gone without a trace.
The last straw, however, was her turning to investigate rustling off by her side about an hour later, only to spy Minthara tugging Karlach into the trees by the hand.
In no world, would she be the only one in camp not getting any tonight, looking around for her usual go-to target - Lae'zel loitering around her damned grindstone, looking very much like she's about to start it up again. Deciding to save everyone that horrid fate, and to get her own way in sheer coincidence, Shadowheart beelines for her. Not breaking stride, she passes Lae'zel by and hooks a finger into the straps by her shoulder, tugging them both into her gith's tent.
With any luck, someone definitely saw them.

Summary
“Look at you,” Minthara says, with none of the cold disapproval that those same words had held when she’d first approached Shadowheart in the darkness—only hunger, want, and something of the knife-edge of triumph. “So very shameless. Is your goddess watching, little nightbird? Will she be pleased to see you wrecked upon my altar?”
Shadowheart is not shameless. Never shameless. But she is, perhaps, as close as she has ever been.
