Jaime wished Bart was a little worse at his job, honestly.
Bart was trembling so bad it made him a little hard to hold onto, and Jaime was more than a little concerned he was going to vibrate right out of his hold mid-flight."
Bart pushes himself to hard during a crisis and he and Jaime deal with the aftermath.

Summary
Alec, just like every other Institute Head in the world, had sent a silent prayer up to the Angel the day he was apprised of those protocols: please don't let it happen in my region. Absolutely nobody wants to be the one who has to be the one to first address the mundanes.
Ultimately, though, Alec probably should've expected this. His Institute may be only the sixth largest in the world, as far as numbers are concerned, but it's at the crossroads of three ley lines. Weird shit always happens in New York.

Years after the attempt with Valak, Magnus finds his home overrun with a group of young Shadowhunters in need of summoning another Memory Demon. It brings a few things to light for the newest generation - not least of which is one of the biggest open secrets in the Clave.

Face blank, Alec steps forward without a moment of hesitation to stand in front of the Inquisitor, his people parting respectfully before him to clear his path as he goes. He comes to a halt a few paces in front of the Clave representative and the guardsmen she’d brought from Alicante. A coiled leather whip hangs from the belt of the man at her left shoulder.
Shoulders drawn back and hands clasped behind his waist, Alec meets Imogen Herondale’s steel gaze. The words are ritual and although Alec has said them many times before, never before has he meant them less.
“That it may please the Angel to bring back into the way of righteousness all such as have erred, I place myself before you for Discipline.”
