Yelan rocks on her stool. “Everything, darling. 2000 years is longer than my lifetime and then some, yet you can be horribly stagnant. I prefer a free-flowing lifestyle, you see.” Yelan winks at the end of the statement, earning a displeased shudder from Xiao.
“And that is where we disagree. I am perfectly happy with how things are at the moment.” Those words don’t come easy, but he swallows them with the last of his food. “Now spit it out, Yelan.”
On request from the Tianquan, Yelan and Xiao embark on a mission to a nearby village, investigating a bubbling plot against the nations leader. Yelan, however, seems preoccupied with dressing Xiao up and getting under his skin. What worries him is how much he doesn't mind.

It had been a sudden death, a rapidly worsening illness even the finest Liyuen medicine could not heal. A few weeks of shaky breaths, horrid coughing, and a dreadful amount of lost blood, and what once was the head of the Yashiro Commission, what once was her brother, was nothing more than another body added to the countless graves Inazuma had to fill her soil with. In the final week before his sickness claimed him, he had told her that he would be fine. That he would push through, for her sake.
He had lied.
With the Sakoku Decree repealed, Inazuma looks forward to a brighter future. Underneath the relief though, recently unemployed Sara and a reeling from loss Ayaka are forced to confront the realities of both their own deep-seated trauma and the world around them, in attempt to find their place in an ever-changing Inazuma, and perhaps in each others lives.
