Techno’s face did that whole scrunching up, possibly constipated, thing again and Tommy was starting to get really worried about him. “I can’t be your dad, Theseus,” Techno said and it felt like Tommy’s entire childhood dreams were being crushed— an exaggeration but now that he wasn’t in the no-dads club he really didn’t want to go back.

“Technoblade! Techno! My friend, my pal!”
Techno let out a sigh of fond exasperation, leveling the boy with a deadpan expression. “Hello Tommy, what are you doing here?” He paused before quickly tacking on, “Does Phil know you’re here?”
Tommy let out a nervous chuckle and rubbed the back of his neck, a sheepish look on his face. “Aha about that…” Techno shot the boy a halfhearted glare and began pulling out his phone to text the kid’s father, which was met with loud protests. “Now now! No need to be so hasty! I have a question, and it’s very important!”
“What do you want, kid?”
“Teach me how to fight!”
____Or Tommy is getting bullied and goes to Techno for help in the form of martial arts lessons.

He turned and looked at the teen's face– because at this moment in time, that was what he was, a simple child with the weight of the world's expectations upon his back– and smiled softly at the pure, unadulterated joy on it. He watched fondly as the teen seemed to relax slowly as he put one step out the door and then another, repeating the process until he was fully out of the castle and officially in the gardens. Even though Techno knew that Tommy had been to the gardens several times in his life, he couldn't help but feel that this was a bit of freedom from the golden gilded cage that the royal family kept him in.
"I thought you wanted to dance?" he called after the teen.
The blond whirled around, stopping in his movement, the bright smile on his face threatening to split it in two. "Of course, come on, hurry up!"
(or, alternatively, Tommy is the crown prince of a kingdom and Technoblade is his personal guard. both are often forgotten as people before their duty except to each other. midnight dancing and sleepy cuddles ensue as they remind each other that there is more to life than duty and work.)

Tommy would assume that he meant what he said entirely literally, that his property value was worth more than Tommy, if it weren’t for the layer of hesitancy over his words. Tommy huffs.
