One of the most interesting character studies that I have ever read, for an unbelievably terrible, no-good, nasty-man. Truly iconic. But also, truly gives us a fleshed-out rendition of Markarth but also the entirety of the Reach as well, and takes a grim look at the dark underbelly that supports the current power structure of the Reach, but also the certain dynamics at work here between the landed gentry of the Reach and the Empire and Stormcloaks but also the Reach-folk. Just... What are you still doing here? Go read it. (Just mind the warnings, this fic does not know the light of g-d, but it is dark in the best way possible).
