Zoro smiled, but not fully. It looked more like a forced grimace. “Didn’t know I was yours. Would’ve expected you to tell me first, cook.”

Yuuji finally took a sip from his drink, and Megumi wondered if he imagined the tremor in his hand.
"I'm psyching myself out over nothing. I don't like that it's become such a big deal, and I keep telling myself that it's just sex, nothing I haven't done before, it's not going to end with them becoming another Junpei, but I always get so tense that we never end up getting anywhere. I just want to...I feel like if I can just get the first time over with and remind myself that I used to like it, then I'll be fine. But my relationships keep ending before I can make myself go through with it, and I trust you more than anyone anyway."

Yuji observes the way the sky rises with yellow and oranges, to set with blues that fade to pinks and purples, only to end with a deep black. He sees the way the sun burns so bright, the otherwise harmless yellow burning his eyes until he's forced to look away. The green of the grass and the vibrancy resulted from hours of costly care. The tinge of pink on the cheeks of lovers as they kiss each other goodbye in the morning.
