Summary
For some time now, Hanzo had observed Kenshi every day; very closely, very acutely. In all these days of their loosely-formed travelling duo they’ve created — although it may be better described as Hanzo’s hitchhiking alongside a bizarre, nomadic swordsman he’s found by pure chance, and whom just so happened to be the most understanding person he’d known in his life — not a single mystery about him had come with any real answers following. He was just strange.

Summary
It is nearly midnight, the waning moon gleaming high overhead amidst her retinue of stars, and this is not the first night that Wèi Wúxiàn has attempted to sneak back into the residence after curfew. His alcohol-driven expeditions are no secret. Today, he lands on the inner side of the barrier wall with a luggage of three sacks; one in either hand, one large and one small, and one held tightly in his mouth for lack of a better place.
Or, Wèi Wúxiàn breaks curfew as expected, but for very unexpected reasons.

The plea scrapes the back of his throat, a voice uncried, hands joined together. Silt and blood and fire and salt; black eternal moving with the ebb and flow of shallow breath. Loss. Ozone sweet, dear prince; shining light, horizon; twist deep the blade, to no avail, and with trembling heart, he calls him home.
(A barely remembered echo of a dream, a hill under a starless sky, shoulder to shoulder. Shared laughter, shared pain, a shared breath, quivering, on the tip of his tongue)

Summary
The gaze Bill's grandpa and step-grandma shot him was more than enough of an answer that they didn't really care about specifics. No matter how important Bill and Ted's identities were to themselves, no one else cared enough to respect it. Sure, they couldn't tell them no, but they sure as hell didn't have to agree, and it was a hard and heinous truth they had to accept.

The sword makes no response. Wen Qionglin sits back against the wall and looks down at it on his lap in the moonlight. He suddenly has the thought that if he looks at his reflection in it he will see--there will be something wrong with his eyes. He shudders, and leaves it where it is, reflecting only the ceiling.
