Summary
“Are you finally proposing?” Buck asks, and the air rushes out of Eddie like he’s been punched in the gut, a swift burst.
Hearing it from Buck makes it real, solidified, no longer a shapeless fantasy in his head.
"Proposing what?”
“Marriage, genius.” Buck snorts. “Duh.”
Buck peels Eddie's pomegranates, carves out the brown spots from his apples, eats the ugly, discolored fruit. Eddie wants to propose, spirals, and crashes a car about it.

Summary
You’re probably thinking this is just another high school love story. Two teenagers. A hallway glance. A hesitant touch. Another girl. A kiss beneath the bleachers. A love that feels like everything because, at that age, it is. But this isn’t that story. This is the story of the day that he died. Not metaphorically. Not some tired coming-of-age metaphor about losing innocence or broken hearts.
He died.
But before the blood, before the silence, before the pain, there was love. A love that burned quietly. A love we never dared to name out loud. A love that killed him. So no, it’s not the story you were expecting. But it is a love story. Just not the kind that ends with forever.

Summary
“It’s fine, Buck. You don’t like it. You can tell me.” Eddie’s disappointed. Buck never lies to him. Never. Why would he say it looked good and let him go to work like this if he actually hated it? It kinda breaks his heart.
“No!” Buck yells—really, like, screams, “I love it!”
Eddie’s pouting at him. “You don’t have to lie to me-”
“I’m not lying! I– you– it’s–”
“You don’t even want to kiss me like this, do you?” he sounds like a kicked kitten.
But the next thing he knows, Buck is yanking his face back across the gearshift and kissing him like he’s going off to war.
“Iwanttorideyourfacelikeafuckinghorse.”
OR; eddie gets a mustache. buck goes insane. there's some miscommunication. mustache smut ensues.

Summary
“Jackson.” God, even Diaz’s voice was gorgeous. Smoother and more addictive than the richest chocolate lava cake could even hope to be. What an asshole. Just showing up and being so…perfect. Like it was nothing. How dare he, actually? “Who’s the new guy?”
“This is Buckley, number eight.” Billy reached up to clap Evan on the shoulder, “Our new running back from fucking Pennsylvania. Can you believe we’ve got a Yankee on our team?” The rest of the group laughed. Evan flushed, shifting his weight as Diaz’s mouth folded into a bitchy little moue of distaste he didn’t even bother to hide.
Or:
When the Buckleys have finally had enough of their son acting out for attention, they ship him off to a relative's El Paso ranch to force him to shape up. Working for his room and board is more exhausting than he could have imagined. Worse, when his work doesn't meet the impossible standards he doesn't get fed.
Eddie's immediately has a soft spot for the new guy who had to transfer all the way across the country for his senior year. But it quickly becomes apparent that something is very wrong with Buck.
