There was something sublime about wandering around an empty museum. Nothing could compare to the sound of his shoes clacking against the marble floor, the morning sunlight gently streaming through the lofty windows and the peaceful solitude of ancient stone kings overseeing their silent kingdoms.
A day in the life of Doctor Kiyoomi Sakusa, Archaeologist.

Summary
“Ya ever been in love?” Miya asks him, quiet, when Miya Two vanishes with two cups of tea to wake Suna. Kiyoomi thinks about Miya’s laugh and Miya’s hands and Miya’s pretty, honey-warm eyes and the way Miya looks on the volleyball court, like he’d savour devouring you whole.
“Maybe,” he says into his teacup.
“How’d it end?”
“I’ll let you know.”
Kiyoomi's feelings for Miya hit a breaking point when he follows him home for the summer.

"Can you crush a watermelon between your thighs?"
The entire team bursts into laughter, whereas Sakusa looks disgusted by the thought, because of course he would - Atsumu imagines that getting anywhere close to a food product with his legs would probably get him killed on sight.

The MSBY Black Jackals test their friendship as they probe deep into each others' personal lives.
Unfortunately for Sakusa, that means confessing to a number of accusations: who he thinks is currently the best V. League player, if he thinks he'll make the Olympic Volleyball team, and whether or not he has feelings for Miya Atsumu.

Summary
He had every part of him memorized, from the hair that had lightened to platinum blonde, to the way the sleeves of his shirt stretched over his biceps.
But he figured it was only right.
After all, they were best friends.

Atsumu is always careful about arriving at his boyfriend’s apartment in top condition: freshly showered, clothes laundered and pressed, bouquet of flowers ready to present to Sakusa’s unamused, yet admittedly pleased face.
All his hard work—thoroughly destroyed by an unexpected storm.

Summary
“We aren’t lovers,” Atsumu protested.
“We’re not even friends,” Kiyoomi added.
“Regardless, a photo of you two—” Foster paused, seemingly searching for words. “Canoodling, to put it lightly, is splashed all over the news and social media —”
“Canoodling,” Atsumu repeated. “It was a drunken mistake—”
“It was a moment of weakness,” Kiyoomi interjected.
“We cannot afford another scandal,” Foster said with finality. “We’re telling everyone you’re in a relationship.”
(Or: A scandalous photo of Miya Atsumu and Sakusa Kiyoomi taken during an ill-advised one night stand goes viral. To save face, it's agreed that they should pretend they’re in a relationship.)

Summary
The team had planned and booked this trip impulsively months prior, when their newest Jackal, Hinata Shouyou, carelessly mentioned that he’d never gone skiing. The statement had triggered exclamations of disbelief, and spurred their idiot teammates Miya Atsumu and Bokuto Koutarou into Googling their favorite skiing spots. One thing led to another and here they were: in a rented chalet in Niseko for a five-day trip, with team captain Meian Shuugo acting as their sole supervision.
This did not bode well.

Summary
“I’m Atsumu! What’s your name?”
The boy mumbled out an answer, and because his voice was muffled by his mask, all Atsumu heard was “...Omi.”
“Omi?”
“Kiyoomi,” the boy said in a much clearer voice.
But Atsumu was already attached to the name. “Omi-Omi! Let’s go!” Shamelessly, he grabbed him by the hand and tugged him behind him. He felt responsible for him — the boy clearly needed all the protection and guidance he could get. Atsumu can be his hero.
--
The story started when the Sakusa family moved into their neighborhood in Amagasaki when they were nine. Atsumu would always remember that he saw Kiyoomi first.

“Ah, Sunarin, don’t look at me like that,” Atsumu snickers and reaches out to take the plate of cake, laying it beside them. “I have plans, ya know.”
Suna eyes the cake before returning his gaze to Atsumu. “And what… would those plans be, hm?”
Atsumu beams then grabs a handful of the cake and slaps it on Suna’s chest, making Suna hiss in surprise.
