Summary
When Ibarra woke up that morning to find Elias holding him tightly, the pilot's broad chest against his back, the youth wasn't even surprised anymore. With a sharp inhale, he pried the strong arms from himself so he could get up. But the sleeping Elias was not going to lose his Ibarra-pillow and his hands immediately latched onto the youth's waist, pulling the man back.

Summary
Crisostomo had to say it. He would never have the chance again, for if he waited until the sun rose and he had to look into Elias's eyes as he did so, watching him leave right after would break him.

Summary
“So you’re dead,” he deadpanned.
Ibarra shot him a sinister smirk. "That’s for you to decide."
“Where are you really?” he asked, his mind trying to make sense of it all.
Ibarra laughed, leaning forward. His chin rested on his knees, leaving him curled into a ball. “Didn’t I say I couldn’t tell you already?”
Elias had only ever loved two people.
One pushed forward by the promise of freedom; the other, bound by his allegiance, and a promise written in the footnotes of a sepia photograph.
Loss, Elias learns, is the price of revolution—but when the pavements bleed red, he wonders if it's at too great a cost.

Summary
It is said that blood runs thicker than water.
Often, this is meant to say that the bonds formed between kin are the strongest and most important. Other interpretations, though, suggest that the original expression fell more along the lines of the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. That is, perhaps the people whom we actively decide to have in our lives are more important after all.
