Summary
Missing scenes between chapters 72 and 74, and from the timeskip in 76.
The parameters of what is and isn’t possible in the world just won’t do Nanami Kento the courtesy of being consistent. He’s coping the best he can.
So is everyone else.
(Rough draft is complete, but the first chapter is the only one I’m happy enough with to post. No schedule planned, and not sure how many chapters it will divide into.)

Summary
Nanami’s breath caught when he saw him. It felt like years—longer than the actual time that had passed since he last saw Gojo. His heart ached, and this was the emotion most consistent with Gojo lately. Hate was easier. So much easier than this.
Gojo’s hair looked as soft as ever, though dull. His eyes were covered by that damn black fabric. His lips were dry and chapped, glossiness absent. His uniform seemed to swallow him whole. He looked tired, yet the sunset painted a halo around him, making his cheeks glisten… glisten with tears?
Or Nanami returns to jujitsu society only to be faced with a weathering gojo before disappearing completely for a year and a half .

Summary
As he moved into the ‘forward’ of his life, he found himself drawn more often than he’d expected to checking in on his kouhai. That was it, right? He wanted to make sure - just like the rest of them - that Nanami was still himself. Still sane. Still in line with some sort of moral code.
Nanami didn’t seem to eat much. He didn’t seem to sleep much. The dark circles beneath his eyes were visible from a distance, and Satoru had to swallow around a knot in his throat at the abrupt and intense urge to smooth out the furrow in his brow and brush the darkness from his weary skin.
Part of him knew, then.
That was the lightbulb moment. The ‘…oh’. The gently unfurling blossom of something that Satoru didn’t really know how to deal with.

A soft progression of a connection between the two main characters; from tenuous and circumstantial connection to hesitant friendship to deep friendship to romantic relationship. Satoru says that this feels inevitable’ in a good way because they’d already built so much of the foundation for the romance through just being good and genuine friends. It’s really sweet that it’s the little things that Nanami does for Gojo and says to him that stand out to Gojo, and mean so much to him. To be seen is to be loved.
