“I gather that I’ve never taken you to my bed,” he says, certain it is true. Her spreading blush, adding the first hint of color to her grey demeanor, is fascinating — the Orokin in their shades of blue never blushed at all after centuries of apathy.
“There is more to a relationship than sex, Roathe.”
Now it is his turn to splutter, in disbelief. “Relationship? You mean to tell me that we were involved? Absurd. I might have believed time travel, or that you popped through reality like a bubble, but a relationship? Unthinkable.”
She stares at him knowingly. “When two people interact over time, it is called a relationship.”
He frowns, but feels the corners of his lips pulling up against his will. “Well, aren’t we irritating?”

Summary
You volunteered yourself as tribute some time ago to alleviate Drifter’s woes while they rest. Obviously, your actions worked wonders, as they ought to have – your Drifter won’t be leaving your side for more time than they usually spend in sleeping state already, and you believed you could stay still a few hours more with the books you’ve gathered nearby specifically for this occasion. Though it surprised you to no end when you found yourself… Unfocused.

Arthur was always awake before she was. A tangible shadow weaving between her dreams and reality as he kissed her goodbye and whispered honeyed words before leaving to wake the rest of the Hex. It was a piece of his time just for her, one she folded so carefully and kept in her pocket. A small moment they shared until they were alone together again and she could give him her time in return.
And yet, this morning he kept himself close to her.
