Atsumu took in a deep breath, steeling himself for what was about to be a terrible conversation. He opened the door, meeting eyes with his furious brother.
“Ya son of a bitch, I knew-“ Osamu cut himself off when he noticed the bruise on Atsumu’s cheek. His eyes trailed down, stopping at the finger-shaped bruises around his neck.
“‘Samu, you really shouldn’t be here,” Atsumu said quietly, all his loud confidence gone as he shifted uncomfortably under Osamu’s gaze.
“He’s fuckin’ hittin’ ya?” Osamu’s voice was lower now, but his angry tone made Atsumu shrink away from him. “That why ya been avoidin’ me?”

Summary
Akaashi is a doctor who's speciality is Hanahaki, as well as a disease correspondent for the news. What the people do not know of is his own dealings with the disease when he was 17, cured by a surgery which tarnished his memories. Now in his late thirties, a patient stumbles into his care with a type of Hanahaki he's never seen. There is an unnerving draw to save this patient, a connection long forgotten.

Doctor!Akaashi who can't love nor remember and Hanahaki!Bokuto (who is literally dying) reconnect after over 20 years apart, and not in the way they wanted.

Summary
Seonghwa always knew that his life was going to be hard. It was as plain for him to see as his own hands in front of him, but he wanted to try to live his life looking towards the sun.
His uncle made that hard. Whenever the stress of life became too much for him, his uncle would berate Seonghwa over it, blaming it on his father for bringing his mother into their lives, on him being too much like his mother. It always came back to his mother.

When he was 12, his uncle had a debt to a pirate captain from a job that went very poorly because of him.
