But even with the noise she makes, Sabé doesn’t miss the little cry that escapes Padmé’s mouth, the small gasp of sympathy followed by smaller kisses, scattered up Sabé’s shoulder. Up her neck, into her hair.

She was acutely aware, in that moment, that the other woman had restrained her and put her in this position with no warning. It had taken a blink of time.
