She’s touched him before — patted him on the back, brushed the sleep out of his eyes, leaned into that little one-armed side hug at the local district office — but never with this much of her body all at one time, the warmth of him radiating down from her head to her hips. She can feel the buttons of his jacket against her stomach, can feel his strength in a new, tangible way. He exists. He exists and he fits against her so well it’s like the universe had planned for her to need this hug.
“I thought I was left alone,” she confesses. The relief has loosened her so much it just falls out. But it doesn’t matter. She’s learning that Yi-hyun isn’t someone she needs to stay careful around.
