Its skin was porcelain, free of blemishes and radiant, a soft glow emitting from within itself, and its eyes are nothing but swirling gold. On its head sits a delicate flower crown, made from a combination of metal, alloys, and anything but flowers, and his ears are draped in an array of jewellery. It radiates power and looks ethereal. It is simply too beautiful to be human.

It’s days when he’s allowed to wake slowly, with the sun shining through the blinds in flits of light as it cast shadows across Kim’s face. It’s days like this that allows Chay to slowly rub his eyes and focus on Kim, who is peppering him with soft, gentle kisses, food on the nightstand, ready for a lazy morning. Izuku coughs himself awake.
His head hurts. His everything hurts, for some reason, and he reaches out blindly to find the beat-up old phone he keeps on his bedside table. Seven forty-three. He doesn’t need to be up for an hour at least. Sighing, he shuts his eyes and tries to go back to sleep, wrapped in a warm blanket and hugging a spare pillow.
He’s awake again ten minutes later. This time the coughing fit leaves him light-headed and raw, lungs feeling like they’re trying to shrivel up and eject themselves out of his body. His ears seem to be full of cotton. His nose is completely blocked, although sitting up makes it marginally less awful to breathe. The back of his head throbs like his brain wants to burst out of his skull.
Oh. I’m sick, he thinks dimly.
(Izuku, a tired omega, is sick again from overwork. His boyfriend Katsuki is here to help.)
