Just as Illumi thought, a man emerged from the shadows, he must've caught the needle Illumi had thrown— because now he held it between his index and middle finger, the sound of his heels clicking bounced off of the walls.

This story takes place a few years before the Hunter Exam Arc (where Gon, Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika meet.) This is about how Hisoka and Illumi may first met. I have no idea how this story is going to go.. But enjoy either way

"Do you... always spend your heats alone?" Clark asked quietly, not quite expecting a reply, but needing to know all the same.
"There's no one else." The words were soft and hollow, and the air around Bruce smelled bitter.
That should have been the moment Clark accepted Bruce's answer and let the subject drop. Bruce wasn't angry or disappointed that Clark had found out something that was meant to stay hidden, and that alone was enough to ease the weight pressing on Clark's chest.
Still…
"I… I'm an alpha," he heard himself say. "If you ever need someone to help you through your heats, you can rely on me."
(Or, it starts with Clark helping Bruce through his heats. It ends with something else entirely.)
