Mike really didn't want to talk to her, but she continued, "I'm assuming you know what he meant, yeah?"
"...What?"
"Sorry, I'm not making any sense, am I? I do this a lot, just ask Steve. Or my parents. Well, you don't know my parents, but that's not the point-" she closed her eyes, shaking her hands and head to ground herself. "You... You know who his crush is."
Robin looked at him. He nodded slowly.
"But you don't know who Tammy is."
Mike nodded again, slower than before. His confusion was apparent on his face.

“Ehh… Not too sure,” he shrugged. “You’re the one who actually gets out of this lab.”
“Right, I forget how sun-starved you are.”
He tutted and turned away, “Get some… less fancy clothes on. I’ll meet you back here in, say, two hours?”
“One.”
Viktor nodded.
“See you then, Jayce.”
“Yeah,” I smiled. “See you then.”

Starting immediately after S5E6 when Vecna infiltrates Will's mind, Vecna shows Will a dark reality. If Will believes it is real, the world is doomed as it needs him to face his fears and end Vecna.
Time travel theory, wormhole theory, Vecna theories, Will theories. I incorporate them all. I try to do right by every character. Endgame Byler and this is basically what the ideal ending to me would be.

“You…” Mike slides away, and my hand feels a sudden cold now that it’s not resting on his chest anymore. He stands up. “You…” The cold of my hand travels up, soon covering my whole body. “Will…that’s…that’s awful…”
…What?
“That’s not okay. Just…stay away from me…” He gives me one last glance before all but running out of my room, out of the shed.
That look he gave me…it was of pure disgust. Like I was nothing but demogorgon drool. My heart aches as I shiver, a coldness from deep within causing my tears to feel hot on my cheeks.

Summary

But Jane isn't dead. And Will's aversion to him goes deeper than he initially thought.

Will gritted his teeth. “Since you lost her? You aren’t the only one that misses her, you know.”
Mike stumbled a little, his eyes wide. “I-- I know we all miss her, Will. I just--”
“Just what, Mike?” Will couldn’t stop the rage bubbling at his surface, his arms tightly crossed over his chest. “You think because she was your girlfriend means more than the fact that she’s my sister? That she isn’t our parents’ daughter?”
“That’s not fair,” he said weakly.

There was something on both their minds, as it turned out. So when Will brought up the topic of the party and their family, Mike agreed completely with his fear.
They’re going to keep their relationship a secret so they can work things out themselves, and because they can’t afford for their relationship to get out. Not now, not while they’re only thirteen and living with their parents. No one will know, not until they’re older and can handle the problems that come with having a relationship like theirs.
No one is going to find out.
