“If you keep looking at me like that, I might have to start charging,” Viktor jokes as he comes closer, his voice husky around accented syllables. “My name’s Viktor. You should buy me a drink instead of staring from afar.”
Jayce’s grip tightens around his glass. He knows Viktor doesn't know him — not like this: ten years older and worn down by loss. Still, the reminder that this isn't his partner hurts. Shaking off the pain, he downs his glass in one go and puts it down, before grabbing Viktor by the waist with both hands.
If this is all that he can get from this Viktor, then fine. He'll be the handsome, older stranger in his bed. Anything to hold him close.

The door to the changing room opens. Viktor looks up, a small smile on his face. Then he freezes in horror, eyes going wide.
“Jayce, this isn't—”
“—what it looks like?” Jayce leans forward and takes Viktor by the jaw. His fingers are gentle, but his grip is unyielding when he forces Viktor to look him in the eye. “So you didn't come here to let a whore who looks like me show you a good time?”

Summary
Jayce runs his fingers through his hair and bounces on his toes a little when he closes the office door behind him.
He does this because he’s supposed to play the part of an undergrad student, full of youthful exuberance and nervous energy. Opposing Viktor’s cool and collected, middle-aged professor vibes.
Viktor raises an eyebrow and exudes impatience. He’s a lot better at acting than Jayce.

And Jayce has missed this more than anything.
