Summary
Dae-ho’s eyes flickered from the ceiling to Nam-gyu, his cheeks dusted pink. It took a second for Nam-gyu to put his finger on it, but he wondered if this was Dae-ho's way of trying very hard not to ogle at his body. They’ve seen each other naked before—they’ve literally had sex before too. But seeing him blush like a school girl when they've done much more…Nam-gyu couldn't hold back his chuckle, and in turn, Dae-ho cracked a timid smile.
“I want to say something,” he mumbled. Nam-gyu tilted his head, sensing an opportunity to tease him coming up. He put on his most innocent face: a polite grin and relaxed eyebrows.
“Mm?” He hummed. Dae-ho suddenly scrunched up his nose at Nam-gyu's expression, a smile tugging at his lips. Damn it. He recognized Nam-gyu's face from too many unsuspecting times before. He dropped it.

After an argument and an apology, Dae-ho and Nam-gyu take a bath together. Despite everything looking up for once in his life, Nam-gyu’s fears bubble up to the surface. Dae-ho is there for him.

Summary
Dae-ho doesn’t like Player 124—hasn’t since he first laid eyes on him. The man speaking to him so casually is someone truly evil. A man who stalked the vulnerable and the weak, and without desperation—with nothing but a twisted sense of control and pleasure—dominated those who couldn’t fight back. A monster who killed not because he had to, but because he could.
“What’s your name?” 124 asks.
“Dae-ho,” he replies. “Kang Dae-ho.”
The man hums in acknowledgement. “Dae-ho,” he says, testing the name like it’s foreign on his tongue. He says it again. “Dae-ho. Dae-ho.” He flashes a toothy smile. “My name’s Nam-gyu.”
(Dae-ho and Nam-gyu, along with the other survivors, are rescued by Jun-ho's team. The two run into each other a few months later and become roommates.)

There were fresh gunshots still left on the walls like a reminder. He averted his eyes.
The world felt hollow. Distant.
He tried not to think about Jung-bae. About his voice. About his hand on Dae-ho’s shoulder just that morning, steady and warm.
“You're braver than you think.”
He wasn’t.
He passed a trail of bloody footprints, one of them smeared sideways like someone had been dragged. He kept walking.
His chest felt too tight. Like he couldn’t get enough air.
And then he saw the door to the bathroom.
It was cracked open, light spilling out in a narrow beam across the floor.
Dae-ho reached for the handle and slipped inside.
The fluorescent lights buzzed faintly overhead. The sinks were cracked, one or two running with a slow, steady drip. The mirrors were smeared with grime and handprints, most of them too low to belong to anyone still standing.
He just wanted to sit. To breathe. To be invisible, even if only for a minute.
But when he stepped around the corner, toward the back sinks, he froze.
There was someone already there.
