She felt her whole body trembled slightly, with so many words forming in her head - she was only left with three. It was real. Well it almost felt real. "Your girlfriend wouldn't be too happy to see this." She spoke in a rough voice, trying to catch her breath.
"She's not my girlfriend." Steve shook his head, his eyes turning south.
"But you kissed her. So that has to mean something." She smirked. It was uncomfortable talking to him about this but there was no stopping now.
"I made a mistake -"
"So did her lips met yours by accident? Is that what you're trying to tell me?" Natasha huffed in exasperation. Steve dropped his gaze at her in disbelief, his grip was just too damn tight he could almost tore the sleeves of her cardigan. The gusty air didn't help either, note that she was only wearing a tank top underneath. Great.

A sly smile formed in his lips, hands buried deep in both pockets. "I thought you didn't know her." He stated, his head drifted back from what happened two years ago, when the picture of Peggy was brought to Natasha's attention back in New Jersey.
She shook her head, still managed to have this smirk he loved plastered on her face. Natasha pressed her lips together, "I know her. I - I was just surprised, to know that she meant to you so much more than I thought."
Steve nodded. He averted his gaze to something else, anything to keep himself distracted from the depth of her emerald eyes. "I'm sorry I kept this from you Nat I -"
"No, it should be me who should be saying sorry... for everything."
He rubbed the back of his neck as his smile faded. For a moment there he could feel she was leaving an implication to something more than what it really should be. "We still talking about Peggy?"

She couldn't believe it. God, was it really this painful when you hear someone unexpectedly confessed the way they feel towards you? To actually hear it coming out from one Steve Rogers, a man with good deeds and intentions with a great perspective in life falling to someone like her? It's considered a miracle for him to feel this way, given that he knew her history and what she's done in the past. She wasn't naive, she was just too blinded of what she's capable of. And one of them, was making Captain America fall in love with one Natasha Romanoff. Avengers: Age of Ultron. Romanogers.

"Shrinking into a size of an ant to stalk our friends? He obviously wouldn't approve of this. Not to mention, Steve and Natasha." Sam's throat tightened just by thinking of the multiple ways Natasha would have done if ever they did proceed to their incredulous plan.
"Oh very well then, ten bucks says they're making out." Clint nodded in assurance, carrying a smug expression on his face.
"Twenty says they're ONLY trying to work things out." Sam eyed him carefully, a hand buried inside his pocket preparing to hand the bill out.
