Summary

Summary
Iceland can look green and lush, a warm breeze blowing through like she had imagined, but only if you visit in the summer, and not in October of all months. The mountains were shining white in the sun and covered in a thick coat of snow, the air sharper than she’d imagined. But the waterfalls, they were even more magical in person. Something inside of her seemed to click when she arrived, a deep sense of calm settling in her soul.

It’s 1994, Max is on an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and her best friend, who she watched die seven years ago, is somehow alive and well. So much for a deep sense of calm.

Summary
Max is slowly going through the process of healing her trauma and recovering her mobility. Thankfully, she has her friends to support her. If only they'd stop saying things like they still think she's sleeping and sounding startled when she talks about it.
