Summary
2017. At the beginning of a school year, a passionate college freshman, Alexander Hamilton, meets his determined and rash roommate, John Laurens, with whom he grows close without even noticing. Similar careers, they see each other often, and go through college life; parties, late-night talks, academic stress, girls, etc. Though deep down, both have a much darker side hidden from the other. Will they uncover it and understand each other?

“I know. But at least this cold can remind you that you’re a living being, and not a walking library, Alex .... Should I be jealous of your pen? It spends more time in your hands than I do.” John said, his eyebrows relaxed, a fond smile on his lips. He let out an exasperated sigh.
Alexander insists he can keep working, but his friend John doesn't agree at all. Both sit under the stars and fail terribly at concealing their feelings for each other.

Laurens reaches forward, as Alexander scoots back into him to allow him access to the desk. But instead of retrieving a paper, he grabs his wrist and yanks it backward, nails digging in.
Alexander tries to look back. “John, what—”
He feels coarse rope loop around his wrist, then Laurens pulls it tight, and the knot, already tied before the attack, presses against the soft inside. He can feel his pulse leap against it. Alexander tries to stand, but his friend shoves him by his shoulders back into the chair. He captures the other wrist.
“Calm down, Alexander,” Laurens says, voice too close in his ear, as even as when he appeared forgiving.

Summary
The war was raging on and on. With new British troops arriving to the colonies by shipload to New York Harbor, it was hard for Washington's men to keep their hopes and spirits up. The war was long and difficult. The lack of aide from other countries was impacting them significantly. General George Washington had appointed a new man to the front line, Charles Lee. This, of course sent Alexander Hamilton into a major fit. He knew Lee wasn't the right person to be leading an army. Despite his protests, the General refused to listen to him.
