“And guess what?” Daniel had yelled back, outraged. “I don’t want it anymore!”
Armand had stared at him then–how had Louis put it? That half-apocalyptic, half-blank look, his irises shaking vehemently as he stared Daniel down. “No,” he had muttered, fingers twitching at his side. “No, no, Daniel, you do not get to leave after you– after–”
“Fuck you, man. I’m leaving.”
He made a horrible sound as soon as the words had left Daniel, a deep, aching groan similar to the one that had echoed through the Al-Sharif Towers every few hours. The end of it caught on a gasping sob as he hauled himself up off the ground.
“Daniel,” he whispered, and a staggering sense of foreboding entered his body. He felt like cornered prey—Daniel in the lion’s den, except this time, there was no God to protect him from the teeth. How ironic. Daniel wondered if Louis was God in this scenario.
He almost laughed aloud at that thought as Armand lunged.
TLDR:

“Your hands are rather large,” she says, pressing their palms together. They’re around the same size, length-wise, but when compared to Rashid like this, Daniel’s fingers are undoubtedly thicker. “Is it an American thing? Or just… you?”

“Fuck!” Daniel’s arousal bleeds into frustration as he feels his orgasm slip away. “What- why’d you stop?” His glasses are all askew, digging painfully into his temple as he tries to focus on Armand. All he sees are unblinking orange eyes before Armand reaches to readjust his frames.
“There,” Armand says, the corner of his mouth curled in that sadistic way that Daniel knows means that he’s in for a long night. “We wouldn’t want them to break now, do we, beloved?”
Fuck the glasses, Daniel thinks. He’s a fucking vampire, it’s not like he even needs them anymore. He’s about to just remove them entirely, when he catches yet another familiar glint in Armand’s eyes, something roguish. Then, it clicks: Armand wants to play.
“Seriously?” Daniel quirks a brow. “The glasses get you going?”

The first few days, he could almost convince himself it was a coincidence. Dubai was warm, after all, and the penthouse’s lighting favoured soft linens and loose collars. But as the interviews continued, Rashid’s wardrobe seemed to evolve into a deliberate act of psychological warfare aimed squarely at Daniel Molloy’s remaining self-control. Every evening, the collars dipped lower, exposing smooth brown skin and the elegant line of his throat in increasingly distracting amounts. Some shirts hung so loosely that Daniel would catch glimpses of his breasts and collarbone whenever Rashid leaned over to place a drink beside him, pale gold light catching against the hollow at the base of his neck.
And Rashid leaned over him often.
