Then he gets up, and — yeah. His eyes are level with the tip of her nose. She’s smiling like the cat that got the cream and ate the canary, which, in Aventurine’s presence, feels like a violation of some untold universal law. Because if one of them has to be wearing that look, it should obviously always be him.
“How’s the weather down there?” Stelle asks, hitting him with a devastatingly self-satisfied tilt of the head.
(She’s wearing heels when she invites him to dance. It’s kind of a problem.)

Summary
I wish she knew that her company was worth its weight in the gold that every antiquated tale recounts alchemists driving themselves to ruin to reach for.
Oh.
That every time I write one of these records, usually to compile all the information I gather per her request, I find myself drawn back to one topic consistently: March, March, March.
Oh.
Or, March stumbles upon a hidden section in the Express’s archives, and ends up having to reckon with the elusive secrets revealed about Dan Heng and his stoicism.

Summary
March 7th goes searching for Warp Trotters on behalf of the Trailblazer and unexpectedly runs into Dan Heng.
...Is that really Dan Heng, though?
She'd thought he was at least close enough with her to give a greeting-- at least a little nod?! He's normally polite enough to do that.
Yeah, actually, now that she thinks about it... It's a little weird for him to just do nothing at all in reaction. Is he mad or something? Was he mad at her yesterday too? She can't remember doing anything. She didn't, right? Right?

March hasn’t visited the archives in a couple of days, which makes Dan Heng more worried than he’d like to admit. In his concern, he decides to go check on her — only to find her shut in her room, crying.
Needless to say, it’s not something he can let himself ignore.

Summary
Dan Heng crosses his arms. “It’s my duty to ensure no harm comes to the passengers of the Astral Express.”
“I highly doubt anyone’s gonna attack us in a clothing store.”
He tilts his head downwards, causing his bangs to cast a shadow over his sharp eyes. “Complacency creates opportunity.”
Oooooookay, March thinks, this guy’s a weirdo.
March may not remember much about herself, but she does understand certain things—like how to style the best outfits, make killer ice cream sundaes, and push Dan Heng’s buttons.
(Or: in her first weeks on the Astral Express, March tries to get along with Dan Heng—keyword being tries.)
