Dante choked, a little. “Holy shit,” he said out loud, and hugged Vergil back, a little awkwardly. “You really missed me, huh?”
“You’re my twin brother,” said Vergil, softly. “Is it really so strange I’d hug you?”
Was it? Vergil wasn’t a huggy guy. He tended to avoid being touched, which was fine, Dante knew how to respect people’s boundaries, but—was it really so strange that his own twin could stand to hold him? Why was he so surprised? Vergil had done this before. Right?

“Guess not,” Dante said, warmly, patting his twin brother on the back of the head.

But his puppet refuses to hand over the bauble to him, Sephiroth strips naked and offers himself in exchange for the black materia. The pent-up Cloud becomes dominated by the chauvinistic libido flowing through him and he prepares to destroy Sephiroth's ass with his giant 'buster sword'.

Dante turned around to call out to Trish but froze as he caught a small glimpse of purple in one of the adjacent rooms. The wall had obviously been collapsed by the seal’s blast, creating a new opening to the room.

Dantes thoughts were indiscernible. Every sentence weaved into the next, every word merged with another, every letter flicked with accents that shouldn't be there.
It felt blazingly, intimately familiar to when he got knocked into that month-long coma by Urizen. And Dante would be lying if he said it was unpleasant.
