    Clark stops before the front door, glancing at Bruce with eyes full of adoration. Bruce gazes back coolly, but Clark has loved him for long enough to recognize the tiny tug at the corners of his husband's mouth. It's the same anticipation, almost eager, that they share in the moments before they leap into battle together, before they make love, even before Bruce makes up his mind to torment Clark at any of his press engagements with Wayne Enterprises (it's good to have hobbies together).
