    Prince Henry is somehow both everything and nothing like Alex expected him to be. He looks perfect, even though he is staring at his phone when Alex enters the room and takes a seat far out of the way.
    And then Prince Henry looks up, his eyes darting around as if he has no clue where he is, and lands on Alex’s face. There’s nothing there, though. No curiousness, no interest, no disdain, not a shimmer of any emotion. Prince Henry just looks at him with a blank stare until Mrs Hughes takes it upon herself to introduce Alex.
    “Henry,” the man responds. His eyes widen for a second before his face falls into a closed expression and says: “pleasure,” as if it’s anything but, and looks away.
    Right.
    Rude.

    Life has been throwing many challenges at Alex. The biggest one so far is becoming a single father. That might change, now that Alex has started a job as a solicitor for His Royal Highness Prince Henry.
    Prince Henry turns out to be different than Alex thought at first, and it doesn’t take long for them to become friends.
    But is that all they can be?

    Alex doesn’t even have the time to process before he’s clicking on the link, going directly to Twitter to find out what the fuck is going on.

    Ferrari’s decided to replace Alex's retiring teammate with Henry Fox. Alex’s fucking nemesis.

    "So," Henry says as Alex's brain makes a valiant effort to reboot because he's staring at Henry fucking Fox, the man he has spent the better part of a decade staring at through a small author's photo. It doesn't even begin to do him justice and he's only now fully realising it, "your daughter is a fan of my work?"

    "Huge," Alex chokes out, struggling to not make a fool out of himself. "Dragged me here."

    Henry raises an eyebrow, face utterly amused as he says, "Really? Because I could have sworn I just heard her tell Issa that her 'lame dad' forced her to come here."

    "Huh,”Alex says, "Kids, am I right?"

    Alex's daughter is growing up, a fact he is entirely not okay with.

    She's becoming a teenager, thinks he's the most boring, lamest dude alive and wants nothing to do with the traditions they had while she was growing up - especially reading Henry Fox's books.

    But when Henry Fox begins a reading programme at their local library, she is sat in the front row. Because she wants to be, not because Alex is forcing her. Not because Alex is slightly in love with a man he's never met, the first person to actually see him.
