On the other hand, Will brightens up and looks around Hulkenberg’s figure. “Alonzo!”
“Your Majesty,” Alonzo says, amused. Hulkenberg relaxes as she greets the nidia with a nod. “You know,” the other man muses, “when I said you would make things exciting, I wasn’t quite imagining time travel to be on the list of things.”
“Yeah.” Will turns and glares at the fairy on his shoulder who squeaks and then dives back into Will’’s bag. “Neither was I.”
What do you get when you put together a birthday party, too much mead, one offhanded wish and an intoxicated fairy?

Summary
After finishing up with the Divination Commission and confronting Dan Shu, who was revealed to the be the leader of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, Caelus, March, and Welt continued on the missive General Jing Yuan had given them: to secure and guard the Ambrosial Arbor seal.
Meanwhile, Dan Heng’s past life continues to haunt him, both physically and mentally and in more ways than one. Revisiting locations that were once dear to him, running into people he had called friends, his past decisions are once again thrown into his face.
All the while, plans that have been years in the making have come to fruition. People who have been waiting are finally awoken. And everything comes to a head on the Xianzhou Luofu.

Summary
Somewhere between normal just enough that it’s not quite a full blown magical ability but uncanny enough that it’s just the touch bit of supernatural lies what people refer to as “magical talents”. They aren’t powerful. They aren’t meaningful. They’re just another personality trait that people have accepted as commonplace.
Alternatively, talents that are useless, talents that seem useless, and talents that the world will never know to be anything other than useless.

It is impossibly loud and impossibly quiet, both at once. There is that familiar unease, of feeling monumental things, and being unable to sort them into proper boxes. Reki pauses. The silk fall of Langa’s hair slips through his fingers like water.
He lets out a shaky sigh. Wow. This is just great. His heart is doing a whole circus act. There are flips and aerials and cartwheels. The whole shebang. But what the hell, this—this is no good. Reki is losing his mind. Langa has to be doing this on purpose.
Say it again, Reki thinks despite himself, want barreling through him with dizzying violence. Say it again, and again, and again.
(In which Reki’s love language is touch, and Langa’s is praise, and it goes just as well as you think it would.)
