Summary
Xie Lian would do anything to give his people peace.
The long war between Tiānjiè and Guǐ jiè had worn down both kingdom's resources, people, and spirit. In an effort for peace Emperor Jun Wu arranges a peace talk that somehow ends with the disgraced Prince Xie Lian traveling to Guǐ jiè to marry none other than King Hua Cheng.
Now in Guǐ jiè former Prince Xie Lian finds not only a husband, new friends, and allies but information that would shatter everything he thought he understood. Will he be able to figure out who murdered his beloved parents so many years ago?

I'm sorry to discuss the intimate details of my sex life, but I would really hope you could put your sensibilities aside to help me with this ritual." He looked down, serious for a moment. "It would be good to cultivate again."
Lan Wangji just gazed at him for a long moment, inscrutable.
"Indeed. I will put my...sensibilities aside. I will find the right cultivator for this task. Do not ask Nie-gongzi."
Wei Wuxian discovers an...unorthodox ritual to try and restore his golden core. He decides he would like to do it blindfolded, to remain ignorant to the identity of whichever cultivator steps forward to help him. Lan Wangji promises to look high and low for someone suitable.

"No, I just got home," Hua Cheng licked his lips, staring plainly at Xie Lian's mouth as he asked, "But I'm sure gege has somewhere to be."
"I don't," Xie Lian admitted, still processing the information.
He had nowhere to be. Neither did Hua Cheng. The tension between them grew as they fell silent, staring at each other. After a month apart, Xie Lian was almost afraid he was dreaming. If he touched Hua Cheng, would he disappear into a sea of butterflies? But the tension only grew. The air was thick with it until, finally, all resolve snapped under the weight of a ghost king and a god's unrelenting desire, and they lunged at each other like starved wolves.

After spending so much time apart, Xie Lian finds himself overcome by an unrelenting lust. Thankfully, his husband is all too happy to oblige in every request he might have. No matter how long it takes.
