It’s like they’re the only two people in the world — like nothing exists outside of this home that they’ve carefully crafted together. From the way Steve’s breathing slows, and the furrow of his brow lessens just a touch, he knows Steve can feel it too.

    When he finally pulls his hand from behind his back, Steve’s gaze doesn’t waver from Bucky’s. It isn’t until he holds the item between them, eyebrow raised in silent question, that Steve’s eyes drop to the collar in his hand.
