Summary

The small stool creaked as he sat down, wincing slightly at the pain in his knee. Falling was always bound to leave bruises, but usually he could dodge anything that would’ve fallen on top of him. This time, however, the sudden long drop knocked the wind out of him, enough so that he couldn’t get up in time to dodge the falling rock.
The fact that that was his only major wound was pretty impressive having fought a monster that was revered as a god. Yaba Zhang would be amazed. Maybe.
He leaned forward slightly, half because it would be more comfortable and half because he wanted to make sure he could see the person in front of him clearly. Said person had received greater wounds and was still out cold after collapsing onto the hospital bed yesterday.
