Summary
The Secret Ninja Force has one rule: they may never reveal their secret identities to anyone. Not even to each other.
The morning after a Garmadon attack, Lloyd lets himself get kidnapped in a bid to prove his innocence. His plan goes awry when he learns of the kidnappers’ true intentions: if Garmadon does not surrender in seven days, they will take Lloyd’s life as forfeit.
Shortly after Lloyd is kidnapped, the Green Ninja disappears, too. The Secret Ninja Force is launched into chaos as they struggle to choose between rescuing Lloyd and looking for their missing teammate.
The clock is ticking. And things are about to get very, very messy.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” He’s clenching his fists around the dangerous thermometer, looking halfway like he wants to punch something and halfway like he just wants to go to sleep again and cry. It’s a look she’s used to seeing on her brother and in the mirror. “Why did you just let me send you to—If I get sick, what happens then, huh? Who takes care of you?”
Or: Whenever Nya finds herself in the line of danger (which is more often she'd like, in a world where ghosts and skeletons can come knocking at your door whenever they please and take your family away from you), for some reason, it never seems to hurt her alone. For some reason, there seem to be people who just can't bear the thought of seeing her in pain.
This is... less ideal than one would think.

Kai just hums again, keeps cutting, keeps working, keeps smiling, like nothing’s wrong, like everything’s fine, like Jay isn’t watching himself in the mirror and realizing, slowly, terribly, that the thing staring back at him is still just a little too slow, a little too still, a little too something else. And the worst part, the absolute worst part, is that it’s smiling. Just slightly.
And the words he says next, he’ll blame on exhaustion, on tiredness, on isolation and the hunger that beats at him and crawls up his windpipe. “Am I too far gone?”
