Summary
Diluc knows how poisonous anger is. It makes you rotten to the core and it's easier to maintain, to feel. It’s more tolerable than the guilt that engulfs him alive. He can argue all night with his brother, throw barbed words he cannot undo, and hurt, and hurt, and hurt. Because the only option is to be hurt.
or after kaeya got back from sumeru official business, diuc noticed that hes been acting strange, turning down addie's invitation to have dinner in the winery. on the same day, diluc is rearranging crepus's room and finds ... things. he tried to make it a conversation starter and things went downhill FAST.

Diluc looks up when the scene changes again. He sees a figure standing before him, his clothes tattered and drenched in blood that probably wasn’t his. He had scraped, bloody feet, possibly from running around the rubble and broken glass. The bluenette had mismatched eyes, one iris blue, one iris golden. He was looking at him, staring blankly as if he were paralyzed and powerless. He wore a numbing expression, exhausted from all the pain, the blood, sweat and tears.. The bluenette could do nothing to stop such an irreversible fate bestowed upon him and it was cruel.
This figure, this child, was all too familiar to Diluc. This was Kaeya.

Or, Kaeya pushes things too far in a drunken confrontation at Angel’s Share, provoking Diluc into a violent loss of control that leaves Kaeya seriously injured and Diluc arrested by the Knights of Favonius. Both are forced into isolation—Kaeya recovering in the Cathedral under Jean’s supervision, and Diluc detained in the Knights’ headquarters, drowning in guilt and unable to escape the memory of what he did.

Summary
All so suddenly, at that moment, something inside Kaeya's mind tore apart. A long distant memory which had been forcefully stitched together snapped the threads itself, causing the contents to spill in a raging flow.
Kaeya didn't see Diluc anymore — what he truly saw now was his former brother from that rainy night.
Or, Diluc got possessed and injured Kaeya badly to the point of disarming him — seriously. Now the both of them are forced to handle the aftermath.

"Genya! Please! Don't leave me—!" Selfish, even now. He could hardly see him now for the burn of tears falling openly from his face and onto Genya's. What irony that he'd spent so long not seeing his brother, yet at the moment when he'd never see him again and was trying desperately to memorize his face before he was gone again, forever, he couldn't even look.
Blood from his torn-open hand mixed with the tears having fallen from both brothers' eyes. It rolled across Genya's smoldering cheek and across his unmoving lips. Sanemi, eyes squeezed shut tightly, still trying to will himself out of this nightmare, at first did not notice that Genya had suddenly stopped smoldering.

After the battle with Upper One, a desperate Sanemi finds that Genya has become demonic enough to be saved by drinking human blood. All his life he'd been willing to die for his brother. When his marechi turns Genya fully into a demon, the sentiment never wavers, even after the final battle is over. Navigating after with the help of some new and old friends, reckoning with his mistakes, Sanemi realizes now he has a chance to live for his brother, too.

Summary
His vision was blurry, Diluc noted as he rubbed his hand over his eyes letting out a short gasp just as he did so. A red liquid stained his eyelids.
Drip. Drip.
It dripped down from his eyes to his face, slowly making its way down like a waterfall. Why was there so much blood? Where was Father? Kaeya? Why was he alone, and why were his perfectly clean gloves covered in hues of red? Diluc had endless questions, no answers to any of them.
Or, my take on the fight between Diluc and Kaeya 4 years ago, although with a different end to it. (Tags contain spoilers!)
