    Summary

“But I thought Will was gonna marry Mike?” Holly spoke, in the room of silence, her curious voice echoed the cricketing dinner table.

Their reaction was almost instant: Lucas chocked on his water effectively getting a disgusted gag from Dustin. Jane had looked like she wanted to laugh hard but stopped herself, and Max tried hiding her smile behind her palm. Nancy paused mid bite and Jonathan looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here.

Karen Wheeler looked back at her innocent ten year old in shock, Holly didn’t really understand such wild reactions from everyone, especially when she glanced back and forth from Mike who sat in front of Will and to Will and Chance who sat by together mortified.

“You and me both, Holly” Ted, her father had spoken. Adding fuel to the fire that had the room even more speechless.

or in which Will introduces his new suitor, Chance to dinner, expecting nothing from the ordinary but is surprised to find Holly bitterly against the courtship because she believes no one deserves Will more than Mike.

    Summary

“I always thought Mike was a little too intense with Will, honestly,” Lucas shares, fingers tapping the table absentmindedly.

He hears Max scoff, and Jane’s little giggle from the side that he turns to them and raises his brow to question their reaction.

“You clearly weren’t looking enough Lucas” Max says, Jane nods in agreement and Lucas looks at both of them in disbelief before giving Dustin a look of ‘Are they serious?’ And only gives him a shrug back, also not clearly understanding what the two girls were saying, because he was also pretty sure that Mike was a little (read: massive) obsessive/possessive/protective over Will.

“What I’m trying to say is, Mike might be intense with Will, but Will was the one who conditioned that, like a little puppeteer running a puppet show” Oh. Oh. Sweet? Innocent? Kind Will? Grooming Mike to be this Mike?

    “Like a puppy” Jane adds.

or in which for the longest time Lucas has always thought that Mike Wheeler was the one with the unsettling obsession towards Will, but one conversation with Max has him spiraling and digging from his pre-pubescent memories.

    Summary

Will Byers isn’t a music snob, far from it actually. He was practically a music geek thanks to his brother, but his sister always wondered why he was so against a certain band she enjoyed. Hellfire was a rising band that took the world by storm, fan girls and boys alike resonating and enjoying their music, including Jane herself, and it wasn’t just the music, the band members were conventionally attractive, especially their lead singer.

It’s a wonder why Will Byers always pulls a face of disdain whenever he passes by their poster or just hearing about them makes his eye twitch. One of the many pieces of advice Will Byers could give you is never to date a guy from a band, because trust they will make a song about you, and that very song can unironically make them famous.

or in which Will Byers is the unwilling recipient of Hellfire's most popular song, written and sung by his annoying ex-boyfriend, Mike Wheeler.
